Vesuvius USA will shed some manufacturing jobs in its Tyler plant, but the plant isn’t closing, company officials say.

Vesuvius makes ceramics used by steelmakers. It has about 70 workers in Tyler, and another 68 production sites and more than 10,000 employees worldwide.
